When you’re trying to plan events that make an impact, you need to methodically organize every single detail. Unfortunately, sometimes the branding of the event is saved for last. As one of Pittsburgh’s best accelerators, AlphaLab Gear needed a strong visual for their nationwide hardware pitch competition.
Given a deadline of just a few days, I worked with their staff to create and finalize a logo and identification style that can represent their initiative for years to come.
Thrival 2015 - Thrill Mill

As one of the best festivals to come out of Pittsburgh in the last decade, the Thrival Festival is a unique experience that blends innovative programs with music entertainment events.
I continue to work as an extension of their team in a communication design / event development role which, not only assists them in achieving higher revenues for the week long festival, but also provides them a reliable resource they can depend on so they can focus on their main goal - which is constant growth.
Consol Energy Center - Pittsburgh Penguins

Opening one of the largest entertainment facilities in a major U.S. city is no small feat - especially when your fan base comes from one of the fastest growing markets in the National Hockey League.
The Penguins needed to create usable files of the arena seating so that they could be one step closer to generating advanced revenue with their ticketing partners. I handled the deconstruction of the building blueprints into a usable map that let’s all Penguins fans know where their seat is in front of the action.
TEDxGrandviewAve 2013 - 2014

Before their transition to TEDxPittsburgh, I assisted the organizing group for two cycles in a community growth initiative that aimed to showcase some of the best and brightest minds in the city.
I assisted the director with event development duties such as establishing yearly budgets, handling sponsorship and ticket sales revenue, as well as providing input and guidance on many operating decisions.
